My 365 project

So for several years now, I have contemplated attempting a 365 project, which involves posting one photo every single day for a whole year. To me, this sounds like a really fun way to grow as a photographer. In education, I remember a training I attended that taught us that when you ask students an open-ended question, the first set of answers will be super easy and usually not very creative. But if you keep accepting answers, after a while you force students to think outside of the box and they generally come up with some mighty cool and off the wall ideas. In my mind, the 365 project is the same idea... January will probably be fairly easy, but after a while I wonder if I will run out of easy things to photograph.
Here are my own, personal rules for my 365P...
1. I must post one photo every day of 2012. IF by some strange twist I miss a day, I must make it up within 5 days.
2. The daily photo may be taken on the day of the post OR it may have been taken in the previous 5 days. I have to allow myself this window as I will be back in grad school January 17, teaching full time and still trying to figure out how to organize my house and life.
3. I really probably should not take on this project as I have no room left on my plate, but I just feel like I need this for me creatively, so I will not beat myself up if it ends up like 99% of my projects and doesn't get finished!
I am still debating whether or not I want to utilize the 365P site and/or facebook. I guess I will come back to tha later. You can find details about this project at http://365project.org/.
My first photo is titled "Absolute Freakin Chaos!" This is how I am starting my New Year, but I am determined that I will not end it this way! That's my daughter in the middle of all that. She is texting. And not doing laundry. Why do we live this way?
